This is the interior of the Royal Albert Hall in central London.

For a one off charity gala night, Harvey Nichols display department sub-contracted me to decorate the highest tier ringing the hall with a theme pertaining to the Venice carnival. Quite a challenge !

This entailed painting 600 ft of scenic gauze (the same material is used in theatrical back drops), together with 40 cut out hardboard Venetian masked clowns taking the strain of the trompe l’oeil swags.
