This is a simple treatment of a study / computer room in a house in Clapham, South London.
The room overlooks a pretty garden, and I thought bringing some of Swiss artist Paul Klees quirky floral imagery to the bland regimented shelving units would add a much needed touch of humanity amongst the technology.
Above the picture rail is a ragged finish frieze and ceiling in Raw Sienna with the frieze incorporating a freehand zigzag border.
I then painted the walls a flat rich burgundy to offset the other textures of the room.
